The more mature plants have already put on prodigous growth, but we now have to shade net them as this hot summer weather is more than they're used to. The seedlings, too, needed hoops and netting to stop them cooking in this heat!

Pic.3 shows the tables after they were all transplanted into the four beds now set aside for them, albeit up to three weeks behind schedule.

Great job with those plants! As Londoners, we know the unpredictable weather can be tough on young seedlings. When working with mature trees, it’s important to monitor how they’re adapting to urban heat. Tree care is crucial, especially during hot summer. Shading nets can help protect your trees too!
